My envy 6000 keeps on 'going offline' and fails to print. I am at he point of buying a cheap printer off Amazon to get round the problem. Any suggestions please? The printer was only bought on the 23td of April this year but I am seriously fed up with it!

Hi @2126yoty,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your frustration with the connectivity issues you're experiencing with your HP Envy 6000 printer. Before resorting to buying a new printer, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the "going offline" issue.
Check Connection:
- Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
- Verify that both the printer and the computer are within the range of the Wi-Fi signal.
Restart Devices:
- Power off both your printer and your computer.
- Wait for a minute, then power them back on.
- Check if the issue persists.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Ensure that you have the latest drivers for your HP Envy 6000 printer installed on your computer.
- You can download the latest drivers from the HP official website.
Check Printer Status:
- On your computer, go to "Control Panel" or "Settings" and navigate to "Devices and Printers."
- Right-click on your HP Envy 6000 printer and check if it's set as the default printer. If not, set it as the default.
Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- HP provides a tool called "HP Print and Scan Doctor" that can diagnose and resolve printing problems. Download and run this tool to see if it identifies any issues.
Reinstall Printer:
- Remove the printer from your computer and reinstall it. This often involves going to "Devices and Printers," right-clicking on the printer, and selecting "Remove Device." Then, reinstall the printer using the provided installation software or through the "Add Printer" option.
Update Firmware:
- Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. You can find this information on the HP support website.
Check Power Saving Settings:
- Ensure that the printer is not set to go into power-saving mode too quickly, as this can sometimes interrupt the connection.
Firewall/Antivirus Settings:
- Your firewall or antivirus software may be blocking the communication between your computer and the printer. Check the settings and make sure they are not interfering.
Buying a new printer may not be the best solution without first trying to address the existing issues, especially if your current printer is relatively new.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
