I have an HP Deskjet 2700 printer that I've finally got to print but it only comes out in faded blue unreadable text. Cartridges are full, any idea what might cause this?

If the printer was unused for a longer period ink dries and you get poor print. Replacing ink cartridges with new fresh cartridges fix print quality.

It was unused for a year as I was unable to get the **bleep** thing to work, now apparently the cartridges are no good and I have to waste more money, is this a joke?
