HP LaserJET M140w

Hello, this printer has not worked since it was purchased 4 months ago. Orange exclamation mark is always blinking. I tried all the steps listed in other posts already. Have tried running diagnostics. Tried removing all printers from my computer and re-installing. Now the Wifi light is also blinking. Why is this so painful and difficult to own a printer?

Hi @garba12234,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Restore network settings to default settings When there is a wireless connectivity issue, you can restore wireless settings to default, and then reset up the wireless connection between the printer and your device.

1. If the printer is in Sleep mode (the Ready light is on but dim), press the Cancel button to wake up the printer.

2. Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button on the printer control panel for 5 seconds.

3. The printer restarts automatically. When the Wireless light starts blinking, the printer is in wireless setup mode. You can now reset a wireless connection between the printer and your device. NOTE: Use the HP Smart app to connect the printer wirelessly

You may also refer to this User guide from page 9 for further assistance if needed.

Update the firmware to the latest by selecting the current version of your OS.
