HP DEskjet 3630 AIO printer
macOS 10.12 Sierra

Loaded new black ink cartridge. Orange light flashing and the two empty tubes are also flashing, as well as the ePrint button. Spent the last hour searching solutions without success. Also turned it off as instructed and waited 5 minutes before switching back on. It's under warranty and I'm searching for a solution. Any help out there?

Hi everyone.

Had a very long phone call with Daniel who had called me. He very patiently went through a process of eliminating each problem until we arrived at the point where it was determined that the ink cartridge was faulty. A new cartridge was dispatched to me and it arrived promptly on the day promised.

Thanks Daniel

Hey there! @raglan2, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!

I understand orange lights are flashing on your printer.

Don't worry I'd like to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Please try the steps recommended below.

Restarting the printer can sometimes resolve an ink cartridge error.
Press the Power button () to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button () to turn it on.

Make sure the ink cartridges are compatible
The printer might display an error if the ink cartridges are not correctly installed.

Refer this article to further troubleshoot blinking lights on your printer.

I'll keep an eye out for your response.

I hope you have a great day! 🙂
