I have had problems with my DeskJet 2755e from the time I got it. I can usually unplug it and get it to print, but now there is an orange light by the i button and a blinking envelope…please help!

Hi @Tvilla10

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

The orange "i" light and blinking envelope on your HP DeskJet 2755e usually indicate an issue with your HP Instant Ink account or a printer error. Here’s how to troubleshoot:

1. Check HP Instant Ink Subscription

  • If you're enrolled in HP Instant Ink, the blinking envelope may mean HP is unable to verify your subscription.
  • Sign in to your HP Instant Ink account here and check for any billing or subscription issues.
  • If needed, update your payment details and restart the printer.

2. Restart the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Try printing again.

3. Check Ink Cartridge Status

  • Open HP Smart or HP Printer Assistant on your Windows 11 PC.
  • Navigate to Printer Status and check if any cartridges need attention.
  • If necessary, reseat the ink cartridges or replace them.

4. Reset the Printer

  • Press and hold the Power button and Cancel button for 10 seconds.
  • Release both buttons and wait for the printer to restart.
