Hello Community,
Happy Holidays, a weird thing happened recently. I wanted to make some copies of a legal document.
I entered the first original and press print. To my amazement, I got the copy but the original never came out of the printer. I got no error message.
I decided to print another copy even though I feared that the printer would jam. I press print. Again, I got the copy, but not the original.
The printer did it three times and didn't jam.
Is this problem a common problem? Can anyone tell me what happened to the originals and if I can get them out of the printer? I did check, but saw no stuck paper.
Hoping someone can offer a solution for this problem. Thanks.

Hello, sorry about the delay in responding. I am aware of what you said. I had this printer for about three years or more, and never had the problem I am now experiencing. I have printed countless legal size papers without a hitch.
My biggest concern is that the original legal size paper should have exited the printer, but it didn't. As I indicated, not once or twice, but three times it happened.
As far as not printing in portrait, I believe I found the reason for that. Every time Windows update, I discover an issue. The settings had changed from one page per sheet to two pages per sheet.
I have since corrected that. Thanks for your willingness to help.
Have a great weekend.

Hi Valsmot,
Since I read your reply, I tried and stand corrected because it worked.
I had place the original in the side tray and the copy paper in tray 2. The mystery of the vanishing original has now been solved.
I wasn't getting the copy, but the original because the printer was printing the tray 2 paper.
Sorry for my misunderstanding what had happened.
You have been helpful, and I appreciate it very much.
Have a great weekend.
