HP P2035N Laser Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

We are using new ASUS Zenbook laptops.  Using a printer cable to hook up to our wired P2035N laser printers.  We ha ve 2 ASUS Zenbooks and 2 of the P2035N printers.   Neither of the laptops will work with either of the printers.  The Zenbooks are running on Windows 11 OS.  Asus is suggesting it is an HP problem.  When jobs are sent to print, orange light is blinking atop the printer next to the triangle shape with an exclamation point inside.  Thank you for any help.

What driver do you have installed? Are you printing network or via USB?

I would lean towards networking the printers. You need to be aware that these printers are what is referred to as a GDI printer. That means the printer does not have a PCL interpreter build in and relies on specialized drivers. I would suggest that you try using the HP Smart UPD driver. I do not believe that the P2035 is listed as supported but I have had success with this driver on some older unsupported printers.
