I keep getting a message that the output tray is full on my HP 9025 printer when it isn't. This will occur after variable number of pages printed. Sometimes it will occur when there is no paper at all in the output tray. If I clear the tray it will sometimes start printing again immediately. Other times, I have to remove the tray and reinsert it for it to start printing again. Sometimes I have to do this several times before it starts working. I am afraid that one of these times, it simply will stop working and won't start up again no matter what I do.
Is there any way to turn this sensor off so it doesn't check for the output tray being full? I'd rather take my chances with an overflow than have to stop and start continuously.

@SteveS91403, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
This seems like an issue with the paper sensor. Resetting the printer to its factory settings may help.
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
