HP Photosmart Plus e-All-in-One Printer - B210a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have followed all the suggested fixes for this error - after reading the other questions.  My question is could my printhead be the issue?  I just ordered a ton of ink cartridges.  I would like to be able to fix this printer.  Can I order a new printhead through HP and if so, how much are they?  If I can't order a printhead or it maybe more expensive then I wish to pay - Is there a trade up program for a new printer.  I love this printer for the quality of photos that can be printed.

Hello,

In some cases, remove the ink cartridges and reset the printer can solve the error.

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Before continuing, wait until the printer is idle and silent.
  3. Disconnect the USB cable from the back of the printer. If your printer has a network or wireless connection, leave it connected.
  4. Open the cartridge access door or lid.

  5. Remove the ink cartridges of the printer.
  6. With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet.
  7. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  8. Plug the power cord into the outlet.
NOTE: HP then recommends reconnecting the printer's power cord directly into a wall outlet.
  9. Reconnect the power cord to the back of the printer.
  10. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically make it.
It is possible that the printer goes through a warm-up cycle. It is also possible that the printer lights blink and the carriage moves.
  11. Wait until the preheat cycle and until the printer is idle and silent before continuing.
  12. Reinsert the ink cartridges in the printer, then close the cartridge access door or lid.
  13. Follow the steps to align the printer, if prompted.
  14. If you disconnected the USB cable, reconnect it to the back of the product.
  15. Try to print.

Please update the printer's firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer.

If the issue continues, please follow the instructions in the HP video below to manually clean the Printhead of the printer.

The HP 4 cartridge print head part number is CN643A or the HP 5 cartridge print head is CN642A for your printer.
Refer to the HP document: Replacing the Printhead for HP Photosmart Plus for replacing the printer printhead.
