I run a small tax office.  We have several of these printers.  Our software produces PDF files of complete tax returns that we then print.  They usually print just fine.  But, at times, the printer produces page after page with one line of garbage printed at the top of each page.  While the PDF might be ten or fifteen pages, the printer may print hundreds of pages.

I have learned to stop this by opening the paper drawer and turning the printer off.  When I close the door, turn the printer back on and reprint the SAME PDF, it prints properly.  We purchased the computers and printers at the same time and this started almost right away.

That type of behavior where printing goes on usually is caused by a corrupted print driver. Have you tried to narrow it down to a specific computer causing the problem or are you sure all computers do this? I would check to make sure that you do not have 2 drivers installed or an old driver? Are you connected to the printers via network or USB?
