HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw

My HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw  has given me the error message "printer memory is low" and then cancels the print job.  How do I clear memory on my printer?

2 possible causes:

1. There are faxes stored in memory and taking up space. From the control panel under either reports or fax settings there should be an option to clear fax memory which will erase all stored faxes.

2. The job is being printed at too high a resolution and you need to print at a lower resolution.

I don't use the fax function at all, so there shouldn't be an overload.  And the pages (3)  were charts that did not fill the pages.  Thanks for this, but any other suggestions?
