PRINTER SAYS MATTE/PHOTO PAPER CALLS FOR PLAIN PAPER

No error msg. hp 9730e printer, win 11.

Set up printer for matte/photo paper in tray 1.  On pc setr print reint req to matte/photo paper tray 1.  printer gives msf the job calls for plain paper and thenif i click on print it prints from tray2

In particular, if the tray (Source) is set to automatic, switch the setting to the tray you want to use with the job.

Default / Custom Tray(s) / Paper Sizes differ by printer model.

For example,

• The example reflects a need to use Tray 1 for other than standard size paper.

After changing paper -- or opening / closing the intake tray,

Select / modify the Paper Size / Type using the touchscreen Printer Control Panel

OR

If / As available, use EWS to view / adjust the Paper Size / Type

Example - (Alternate EWS format - select new InkJet printers and at least a few LaserJet printers)

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Section Paper > Trays > click on Tray to configure

Next (as available)

Section Print > Default Print Options > Select default options / tray
