Hi. Has anyone had this same problem and found a solution? I have created a document in Google Docs which I want to print off in booklet format. However, after at first letting me get to the print dialogue box and to make prints of just a few pages on two or three occasions I now find it will not proceed to the final dialogue box and I am unable to print anything from Google Docs. I do have the Google Drive app for pc installed on my desktop.

Hi @Markzp, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're having quite the adventure with your HP Envy 6120e and Google Docs. Let's see if we can turn this printing puzzle into a success story!

Here are a few steps to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:

Update Printer Firmware: Ensure your printer's firmware is up-to-date. You can download the latest firmware from the HP Support website.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor: This handy tool can diagnose and fix many printing issues. Download it from the HP Print and Scan Doctor page and run it on your PC.

Check Printer Driver Settings: Sometimes, the driver settings can cause hiccups. Make sure your printer driver is correctly installed and configured. You can find detailed instructions in the HP Printers - Print Driver Settings Guide.

Clear Print Queue: A stuck print job might be causing the issue. Clear the print queue by going to Devices and Printers in Windows, right-clicking your printer, and selecting See what's printing. Cancel any stuck jobs.

Reinstall Printer Driver: If the problem persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver. Here’s how:

  • Open Programs and Features in Windows.
  • Select your HP Printer and click Uninstall.
  • Go to Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and select Remove Device.
  • Open the Run command (Windows key + R), type printui.exe /s, and click OK.
  • In the Drivers tab, look for your HP Printer driver, select it, and click Remove.
  • Restart your computer and reinstall the printer driver from the HP website.

Print from Google Drive: As a workaround, try downloading your Google Docs file to your computer and printing it from Google Drive or another PDF viewer.

Hopefully, these steps will get your printer back on track and your booklet printed in no time. If you still face issues, feel free to reach out again. Happy printing! 😊

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hi Max.

Thank you so much for giving me so many suggestions. I have tried all the procedures you gave but finally the one that worked was to download the document as a PDF and then print it from Adobe Acrobat. It works a treat. I now have what I wanted at last. I was not sure I would get a reply to my post, and so quickly too, so I really appreciate your input. Keep up the good work! 👍

Best regards,

Mark.
