HP 3830
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've read the forums and saw another person had the same issue however couldn't figure out how to reply to the thread.

Nor did the OP reply saying the issue was fixed. So here is my problem.

So I have the HP 3830 Printer and I'm trying to print on Sticker Paper and I get a paper jam every time.

Paper I'm Trying to Use:

Brand: Online Labels

Type: Sticker Paper, White Matte

Size: 8.5x11

Inkjet Paper

Another one I'm trying to use is:

Brand: LD

Type: Sticker Paper, Glossy

Size: 8.5x11

Inkjet Paper

I've tried resetting the printer, I've tried updating the printer. I've also tried multiple different settings such as

"Other Matte Inkjet Paper"

"Other Photo Inkjet Paper"

"Other Glossy Inkjet Paper"

and about everything else in the settings.

I've also tried changing the number of pages per sheet to 2 standard, is 1 to see if that would help take it but no still get paper jam error.

I'm not really sure what to do next to get it to print these sticker papers.

and yes it prints the normal "Plain Paper" just fine no issues.

Welcome to the HP support community.

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware
