When I load the paper into the printer & start a print job, it loads sideways, causing the paper to jam & not print. I have tried this numerous times with different paper, new paper, etc. I re-aligned & cleaned the cartridges. I restarted the printer & my compute. I am at a loss! Please help!

Hi @PeachyPie,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Tango X printer is loading paper crookedly and experiencing jams, here are several troubleshooting steps you can follow.
- Check for Obstructions: Ensure there are no foreign objects or debris in the input and output trays, as these can interfere with the paper feed.
- Inspect the Paper: Make sure the paper you are using is not damaged or warped. Only load paper that is flat and in good condition. Also, avoid overloading the input tray; it should not exceed 50 sheets.
- Align the Paper: When loading the paper, ensure it is aligned properly in the input tray. The paper should be inserted against the paper guide, which can help it feed straight.
- Clean the Rollers: Sometimes, dirty rollers can cause improper feeding. Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly moistened with water to clean the rollers. Make sure they are dry before trying to print again.
- Reset the Printer: If the problem persists, try resetting the printer. Disconnect the power cord, wait for about 60 seconds, then reconnect it. This can help clear any false paper jam errors.
- Check Printer Settings: Ensure the printer settings match the type of paper you are using. If you are using a non-standard size or type, it could cause feeding issues.
- Update Firmware: Check for any available firmware updates for your printer through the HP Smart app. Sometimes, software issues can affect printer functionality.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
