Hi, HP. My office Jet is not feeding paper past the main roller just behind the ink cartridge tray. It has been sitting idle for 4-5 weeks, although I had left paper in the tray to hopefully combat any dust buildup. There is next to no dust accumulation on any rollers, nor is there any paper stuck in the printer. This printer is less than 4 months old and was working perfectly fine before sitting idle. I am attempting to narrow down my possible causes, so any help is appreciated. (Ink is not dried up and proper paper is being used.)

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand the paper isn't feeding through the printer,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Did you look for jam under the input/output tray, ink cartridge access area, underneath the printer and from the ADF?
Have you checked if the ink cartridge carriage moves freely?
While you respond to that, here's what you may want to check:
Step 1: Look for jammed paper
Paper jams can occur in multiple areas of the printer. If you cannot find the paper jam in one area, continue to the next area until the jam is located.
Under the input/output tray, ink cartridge access area, underneath the printer and from the ADF
If you have checked and removed any jammed paper from each printer area and the error persists, continue to the next step.
Step 2: Make sure the ink cartridge carriage moves freely
To make sure there are no foreign objects or paper in the printer, move the ink cartridge carriage across the width of the printer.
-
If the printer is not turned on, press the Power button to turn it on.
-
Open the exterior door.
Figure : Open the exterior door
-
The carriage moves to the center of the printer. Wait until the carriage is idle and silent before you continue.
-
Open the ink cartridge access door.
Figure : Open the ink cartridge access door
-
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
-
Unplug the power cord from the power source or electrical outlet.

I have confirmed the reddiness of all above solutions you have posted, and they all preform correctly.
(F.Y.I, im going to get technical, so bear with me.) In the begining stages of printing a single page from the input tray, the two rollers (the ones you reccomend cleaning) innishally grabs the paper, recives two inches of it, then stops. Shortly thearafter, the printer begins to slide the cartrage tray back and forth like normal, but the main roller (the pitted one in the bottom) fails to recive the paper and pull it through the smaller spring loaded white rollers.
Here is the catch however. when I command the printer to cancel the current process, it forces the paper through the roller and out of the front of the printer rather roughly and i was pulling the paper out by hand during the ejection procces. It was at this time I had found the issue! What had happend was, my printer is directly beside my desk about a foot off of the ground. Apperently when I was cleaning my desk, a pea sized crum had fallen into the top of the printer without my knowlage, and had gotten wedged somewhere inside the printer (most likely by some of the gears?). When i was assisting the paper through the seccond time, the crum had ejected out of its spot, and out onto the bottom tray inside the printer. I removed the object, attempted to print a demo page, and It was functioning normally.
