Printer began slowly to chrash the paper and it was an increasing problem. Seems that something hit the paper 6 cm in from the right side on top of a print or copy A4 page. After som investigation I found with help of light and a small mirror a green coloured rubber? "friction pad" located in the 2nd black plastic paperguide seen from left and from behind rollercover part of printer. There are 5 look like black plastic guides to feed paper up to the 4 rollers above into printarea. It was possible to get this black hard plastic guide out of the printer with bending carefully with a tool. This green friction rubberpart was very soft and attatched? to the guide from underside and the middel of it is thicer and come up in a long slot and 1mm wide in the midle of this guide. I think the pupose must be to prevent two papers to coming up in printing area at the same time. May be this rubberpart have changed softness over time an expanded up against the paper and stop it. Is it possible to get a new rubber part or take it away without any new trouble ?

@danorway I'm afraid mechanical parts on a printer cannot be shipped individually, you will need to get the printer repaired or replaced via HP,
I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options:
