I've purchased a new printer, tried connecting it to my wifi using my iPad.

i click on the printer setting on iPad, it asks me for the password.

where would I find this?!

driving me nuts, been at it for 2 hours now!!!!

Are you trying to setup wireless connection with HP Direct or wireless connection on printer?

 

Meanwhile:

 

Click here and follow the steps mentioned in the document to connect the iPad to printer through HP Wi-Fi Direct.
