Deskjet Ink Advantage 2675
Linux

Greetings, I printed some stuff with photo paper with my printer and I noticed the sections with black areas were just rubbing off the paper, this happened regardless of the paper type I chose.

After some time I did some research on found online that the black ink isn't compatible with photo paper so it must print black mixing the colour ink. It says to do so I have to choose "photo paper" as the paper type.

The problem is, I did so, from my pc, and also directly from the printer, and it still produced the same result.

So in the end I just took out the black ink cartridge just to test, and it worked.

Now, obviously I can't be expected to have to remove the black cartridge every time I want to print using photo paper, so what's wrong ?

I am using Arch Linux and have setup my printer with hplip.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

PS: I noticed that the photo printing option works as intended when using my phone, so I am guessing this is a driver problem.
