A few days ago, my PhotoSmart 7525 copy function stopped working. It just prints a blank page, although the preview shows the copied page correctly. When I try printing a diagnostic report, it prints out fine. I cannot say whether the print function works because it doesn't connect to my wifi (see below).
For the last month or so, my PhotoSmart 7525 printer will not connect to my home wifi. Since all my other wireless devices are all right, it appears to be the printer. It happened a long time ago when the printer was still under warranty and I remember the support person walking me through a printer reset to get it to connect. Of course, I no longer remember what was done. Does anyone know how to initiate a reset process?
I still havea bunch of 564 ink cartridges, so I'd like to fix this printer if possible.
Thanks!

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
- Open the scanner lid, without placing a document on the scanner glass, hit the copy button and check if the scanner lamp lits up and moves.
- If it is not lit or not moving, could be a possible hardware failure with the scanner mechanism.
Power resetting the printer and updating the printer firmware may resolve this issue. Let us try these steps:
Step 1: Reset the printer
1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
Step 2: Update the printer firmware
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Step 3: Connect the printer to the wireless network
-
From the home screen of your printer control panel, touch the Wireless icon
.
-
Touch the Setup icon
.
-
Touch Restore Network Defaults or Restore Network Settings, and then touch Yes to confirm your selection.
-
After the default network settings are restored, touch the back arrow, touch Wireless Settings, and then touch Wireless Setup Wizard.
The printer searches for available networks.
-
Touch the name of your wireless network.
-
Type the WEP or WPA key (network password), and then touch Done.
-
Note: make sure to connect the printer and computer/mobile device to the same network. This printer only supports 2.4GHz.
Let me know how this goes.
