Photosmart 6520
macOS 10.15 Catalina

I have literally tried everything and I am SO FRUSTRATED!!!

We hadn't used our photosmart 6520 in quite some time. The last time we had used this printer, it worked beautifully and we have never had any problems. I recently purchased all brand new ink cartridges since it had been months since we last printed and I figured they had dried out. They were genuine HP cartridges.

The black ink color blocks will not print AT ALL on the "print diagnostics" page, however, the text on the page is obviously black. There is also no black ink that prints out on the alignment test page.

I tried everything for troubleshooting that the diagnostics test page recommended, visited the "contact us" page, and there is literally no option to email customer service, no telephone, nothing. Just the virtual assistant and the "no black ink troubleshooting" page that I've already visited 1,000 times. So, I try the virtual assistant.

Virtual assistant asks me questions, gives me the "no black ink printing troubleshooting" page that I've already visited. Then asks if that answers my question, and I click no. She then asks me to either rephrase my question or I have to click that "I'm done" or whatever the option is.

This is the worst display of customer service I have ever encountered. There should be absolutely nothing wrong with our printer as it worked perfectly fine several months ago. All I did was changed the ink cartridges to brand new ones since I figured the ink dried out. I even ran to the store to buy another BRAND NEW black ink cartridge. STILL THE SAME FRICKEN PROBLEM.

I've tried the YouTube videos on manually cleaning my printhead with BOTH black ink cartridges. Still NOTHING. I've been at this for 3 fricken hours. I am so angry.Scan 2020-4-13 12.22.45 1.jpgScan 2020-4-13 12.22.45 2.jpgScan 2020-4-13 12.22.45.jpg

This is my last resort. If someone from HP can't answer what the hell is going on, we will be buying a brand new printer and our printers from now on will never be HP again. I can't believe the lack of customer service, being able to even just EMAIL or CALL a representative. The literal only option is the virtual assistant that is useless.

HELP.
