I was printing a powerpoint presentation in black and all of a sudden the black ink ran out. I inserted a new HP black ink cartridge but there is still no black ink printing. I ran a printer alignment test and it "failed".
Is there a way to fix the alignment (assuming that this is what is causing the problem)?

Hello, @nmcdole – Hope you are well 🙂
Welcome back to the HP Support Forums. It is a fantastic location to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!
I understand that you are having alignment issues with your Photosmart printer. Go to http://hp.care/2v6aLWA and try the steps listed here.
Try all the steps mentioned, but start with Step 5. Make sure to clean the print head to try and fix the issue.
Let me know if that helps!
Good luck 🙂
