Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue.

Let's perform A printer reset, which can resolve some printhead issues. Follow these steps to reset the printer.

  1. Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

  4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

  5. Wait at least 60 seconds.

  6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
  7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

  8. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

  9. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed. If the issue persists, service the printer: Click here to know more about Printhead problem' or 'Printhead appears to be missing or damaged

Still getting the same message "the printhead installed is not for use in this printer or is damaged."

So, can you tell me where/how to get out of warranty serviced or possibly a service manual for my printer and I can service it myself? Thank you.

Thanks for responding,

In this case, the printer has to be replaced, I would recommend you get in touch with our phone support for out of warranty service options,

Please advise how to contact support via phone? I keep being redirected to an endless cycle of returning to my product page, it redirects me back every attempt to contact support. All I need is to find out where my printer can be serviced locally, or since it is out of warranty, a copy of the service manual for my printer would be even better. I repair/build computers and I repair LCD tv's and other electronics so I know my way around servicing. I'd even be willing to pay for a copy of the printer service manual if that could be an option. Thank you.

I am located in the US. In southern Illinois, if that matters.  I know whatever is causing the issue with my printer should be easily fixed because I had no issues with it until I recently replaced the ink cartridges, after that it started doing this. Since I'm not a wealthy person, I can't afford to buy a new printer if I can repair mine, I just purchased 2 new sets of ink cartridges and now a new print head so I'd really like to fix it, I appreciate all your assistance. Thank you.
