Hello, I have an HP Officejet Pro 6830, working on Win 10 that I’m having problems with. The print quality is terrible. I’ve tried replacing with new cartridges, all the maintenance procedures, cleaning heads etc a number of times to no avail. Basically on test prints there is no cyan (blue) ink which makes any colour printing look awful, all the other inks are fine. Can you suggest what I can do?

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Are you using genuine HP Ink cartridge?
Clean the printhead
The printhead could be clogged, and you might need to clean the printhead several times to restore print quality. Use an automated tool from the printer control panel to clean the printhead.
CAUTION:Never turn off the printer when ink cartridges are not installed. To avoid issues that require cleaning the printhead or that can damage the ink system, always replace ink cartridges as soon as possible, and always turn off the printer using the Power button.
-
Load plain white paper into the tray.
-
On the printer control panel, swipe the display to scroll to Setup, and then touch the Setup icon
.
-
Swipe the display to scroll to Printer Maintenance, and then touch Printer Maintenance.
-
Touch Clean Printhead.
A test page prints.
-
Examine the test page.
-
If the print quality is unacceptable, touch Clean Again to continue the next level of cleaning. If necessary, repeat these steps for the third cleaning cycle.
NOTE:
If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes before you perform all three levels of cleaning again.
-
If the print quality is acceptable, touch Done.
-
Try to print.

Hi Raj, Thanks for the advice, however nothing seems to work. I've cleaned the printhead several times, uninstalled the driver, then re-installed it, i am using genuine HP cartridges as well (replaced last week!). On several 'test prints' the cyan just does not come through the other colours are fine. All the other troubleshooting tips I've applied as well. ??

This could be a hardware issue with the printer
I have sent you a private message, to contact HP Phone support depending on the product that cannot be shared in a public post.
