Hi @Balkesh ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand the power button on your HP Smart Tank 585 All-in-One Printer is blinking continuously, it may indicate an issue with the printer.
Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:
1. Check for Error Messages
- Look at the printer’s control panel or the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device for any error messages or notifications that could provide more information about the issue.
2. Restart the Printer
- Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait about 60 seconds, then plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and the printer.
- Turn the printer back on and check if the power button continues to blink.
3. Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions
- Open all access doors and compartments to ensure there are no paper jams or foreign objects inside the printer.
- Make sure all trays and doors are properly closed.
4. Check Ink Levels and Cartridges
- Ensure that all ink tanks have sufficient ink and are properly seated in their compartments.
- Check for any blinking lights near the ink tanks that might indicate an issue.
5. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Ensure your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website.
6. Reset the Printer to Factory Defaults
- If the problem persists, consider resetting the printer to its factory default settings. This can often resolve software-related issues.
- Refer to your printer’s user manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
