Hello

i have replaces the printer heads with new one, still there no solution getting same error like Printerhead is missing

Try these steps:

Verify Printhead Installation:

  • Ensure that the printheads are installed correctly and securely. They should click into place.
  • Double-check that you are using the correct printhead model compatible with the HP Smart Tank 790.

Clean the Electrical Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Carefully remove the printheads and inspect the electrical contacts both on the printheads and inside the printer.
  • Use a clean, dry, lint-free cloth to gently clean the contacts to ensure proper connection. Avoid touching the copper-colored contacts with your fingers.

Reset the Printer:

  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it is turned on and unplug it from the wall outlet.
  • Wait about one minute, then reconnect it and power it back up.

Firmware Update:

  • Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date, as updates may contain fixes for errors like this one.

Reinstall Printheads:

  • Reinsert each printhead and ensure they are seated correctly. Sometimes removing and reseating them resolves such issues.

Check for Obstructions:

  • Look for any paper jams or obstructions inside the printer that could affect printhead recognition. Clear any that you find.
