HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer

I am getting error message  0xc1920003 on my  Officejet 8610.  I have tried the recommended methods of: 1) turning it off and on; 2) taking power off for a minute and more and holding power button on for 30 plus seconds;  3) taking out ink cartridges and reinserting them; and 4) cleaning the print head.  None of this has worked.

Is this going to be something fatal for my printer?

Hi @bookman511,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The error code 0xc1920003 on your HP Officejet 8610 typically indicates a print head problem. You've already tried several troubleshooting steps, which are very good initial actions. However, as these have not resolved the issue, here are a few more things you might consider:

Inspect the Print Head:

  • Ensure that the print head is properly installed. If it’s removable, try reinstalling it.
  • Look for any physical obstructions or residual ink on the contacts that might be causing the error.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes, installing the latest firmware can resolve hardware-related errors. Official HP® Support

Complete a Hard Reset:

  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer while it's still on, wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in.
  • Power on the printer again and see if the error persists.

Check Warranty Status:

  • If your printer is under warranty, contacting HP Support for a replacement print head might be a solution if a hardware issue is confirmed.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
