I have also found where there was a replacement for printhead errors on the printer. My printer was purchased in 2017 but I’d not use it as much as other people so it took longer. But the printer head is gone and it will cost me more to have it replaced than to buy a new one. But I am seeing that others are having the same issue. How do I get a replacement and am I still eligible? I have always purchased HP but I have a

had issues with everyone of them within a couple of years. One was replace two printers ago.   Can someone help with a solution?

Hi @Vthurman

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document and the issue persists. I'm afraid the issue is related to printer hardware.

You are right, the printhead will cost you more. I suggest you buy a new printer as this is not in warranty anymore.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.

You could do what I just did. After researching the problem and finding out it was a defective product, I filed a complaint at ftc.gov. I am in the same boat as you are - I use it infrequently, and HP can't even claim differently because we used HPInk, so they have documentation on every single page printed. They are happy enough to use it to charge more, so they ought to be happy to use it to show that their product didn't perform as reasonably expected.

Send the FTC a complaint as well - it took all of three minutes, and it ought to be on record at least for the future.

I'll come back and post if I hear anything.
