Is it possible to print a single envelope without removing all the paper fromthe paper tray?

In General,

No, it is not possible to print a single envelope without removing the other paper first.  The envelope cannot be left loose in the tray.  Most printers of this type like that you have more than one envelope in the tray so the sensor / pickup mechanism can "see" the paper / envelope.  In practice, if you get away loading just one envelope, then "all good".

In Particular,

IF your envelope is the same size as the paper already in the tray,

If the envelope stacks with the paper nicely and is a type that can be printed (not embossed, no metal clips, no odd colors),

Then maybe the "same size as paper" envelope could be placed in the tray with the existing paper stack.
