HP DeskJet 2720e All-in-One Printer

I was printing email just by clicking print conversation and then it just stopped. It came up with an alert but I didn’t see what it said before it disappeared. Now it won’t do it anymore. I can print emails by sending them direct to printer email but it’s printing whole conversation thus repeating endless times . I’m using iPhone to do this . Is it a queue error? I can print other stuff. How do I get back to the simple print conversation?

Hi @KEG-3,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with your HP DeskJet 2720e printer not printing emails after an alert appeared but disappeared before you could read it. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

  • Check Printer Status: Make sure that your printer is turned on and properly connected to your computer or network. Also, ensure that there is enough paper and ink or toner in the printer.
  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. This can sometimes resolve minor glitches.
  • Restart Your Computer: Sometimes, issues can be on the computer's end. Restart your computer to ensure that there are no software conflicts causing the problem.
  • Check for Errors on the Printer: If there is an error message on the printer's screen, try to read it carefully. It might provide information about what went wrong.
  • Printer Software: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers and software installed on your computer. Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers if necessary.
  • Email Printing Settings: Verify that your email settings are correct. Ensure that the email is set to print to the correct printer and that there are no print jobs stuck in the print queue.
  • Email Attachment: If the email contains an attachment, make sure it's not too large or in a format that the printer can't handle. Large attachments or unsupported file types can sometimes cause printing issues.
  • Network Connection: If your printer is connected to a network, check the network connection. Ensure that the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
  • Paper Jams: Check for any paper jams or obstructions in the printer's paper path. Even a small piece of torn paper can disrupt the printing process.
  • Reset the Printer: You can try resetting the printer to its default settings. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to do this.

Remember to make sure you have saved any important emails or documents before attempting any major troubleshooting steps, as they may require a restart or resetting of your printer or computer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I think it was an issue with trying to print a conversation history which was over 80 pages , I think I overloaded the queue , but how do I resolve this, I’m using a iPhone which does not display the print queue for me to check and cancel any waiting in queue , will just turning off and back on resolve this or do I need to reset the printer back to the beginning ( however I do that ) thanks
