Hello

I am getting a message stating the printer needs the black cartridge replacing - or there is an error with the cartridge - I have installed a new one, but get the same message - I now cannot print.

Any top tips please?

I understand you are not able to print due to this error. This printer supports printing in single-cartridge mode. Insert only the color and try printing. 

 

Check for the plastic tape if any is removed from the new ink cartridge before placing it in the printer.

 

Make sure the ink cartridges are properly inserted in the printer, you may refer to - Replace HP inkjet printer cartridges

Note: Use HP ink cartridges.

 

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Ink cartridge error

 

If the error persists even after using 2 different black ink cartridges, I'm afraid it could be an issue with the printer. Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement options.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
