Hi, I have a HP Envy Inspire 7200 series ' printer and every time I go to print something using the app 'HP Smart Print', a couple seconds after pressing print, a message pops up saying 'print job cancelled'. I am unsure why this message is popping up and don't know how to fix it.

Hi @Chelsee1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating to encounter consistent cancellations when trying to print. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue with your HP Envy Inspire 7200 series printer and the HP Smart Print app:
Check Printer Connection:
- Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your network if it's a network printer. You can check the connection from the printer's control panel under the wireless settings or network settings.
- If connected via USB, ensure the cable is secure at both ends.
Restart Devices:
- Turn off your printer and wait for about 30 seconds before turning it back on. This can help to reset any errors that are causing the print job to cancel.
- Restart your computer or device from which you are printing to refresh its connection to the printer.
Check the Print Queue:
- Open the print queue on your computer and check for any stuck print jobs. Cancel any pending jobs and try printing again.
Update Printer Firmware and Software:
- Check for any firmware updates for your HP printer from the HP official website. Updating the firmware can resolve many operational issues.
- Ensure that your HP Smart app is updated to the latest version. Updates often fix bugs that may cause issues with printing.
Printer Settings and Driver:
- Check the printer settings in the HP Smart app to ensure there aren’t any configurations causing the print jobs to cancel, such as a set delay or default cancellation setting.
- Reinstall or update your printer drivers. You can download the latest printer drivers from the HP website.
Check for Error Messages or Codes:
- Look at the printer's display for any error messages or codes that could indicate what might be causing the problem. You can search these codes or messages on HP’s support website for specific troubleshooting tips.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
