Product: HP DeskJet 3630 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

       My DeskJet 3630 has suddenly failed.  The Resume (8) light keeps flashing and the display shows alternating E - 1.  I have even tried to uninstall and reinstall it but without success,    Plenty of ink (via Instant Ink) and OK paper supply.  I have read the HP page re Blinking light but find no reference to the Resume (8) button only flashing.  What can I do now?  I'm getting desperate here!

       That was yesterday.  Today I have tried various options suggested by HP chat guide but to no avail.  However, I note that, in addition to that Resume light persisting, the information seen during printing attempts states "Status:- Paper size mismatch" and "Attention required" but without any indication how I can apply any attention.  As far as I can see, my paper size setting (A4) is constantly correct.  

       Would taking a sledgehammer to the whole lot do the trick?
