macOS 12.0 Monterey

I’m using hp 6600. It uses ink cartridges 932/933. The printer was working fine, I ran out of ink, so I bought new ink, but I am now getting a message saying printer failure. There is no number associated with this failure. It says: There is a problem with the printer or ink system. I turned it off, unplugged it, plugged it back in, turned it back on as instructed. It still does not work. I really hope to hear from someone on this
ThankYou!

Hi @Ktyates,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you have already tried some basic troubleshooting steps, which is a good start. Here are a few more steps you can try to resolve the issue with your HP Officejet 6600 e-All-in-One Printer series - H711

Check Ink Cartridges Installation: Ensure that the new ink cartridges are properly installed. Sometimes, cartridges may not be seated correctly, causing the printer to display errors. Remove and reinsert the cartridges to ensure they are properly seated.

Clean Cartridge Contacts: Sometimes, ink residue or debris can accumulate on the cartridge contacts, causing connectivity issues. Turn off the printer and remove the ink cartridges. Wipe the contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer with a clean, lint-free cloth. Be gentle to avoid damaging the contacts.

Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP 6600 printer. Updated firmware can often resolve software-related issues and improve printer performance. Software and Drivers for HP Officejet 6600 e-All-in-One Printer series - H711

Reset Printer: Try resetting the printer to its default settings. The steps to reset the printer vary by model, so refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a reset.

Check for Paper Jams: Even if the error message doesn't mention paper jams, it's worth checking the printer for any obstructions or paper jams that may be causing the issue.
