printer prints as if an Envelope sze 10 is in the printer. Will not change to paper size 8 1/2 by 11

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

• Which application are you trying to print from?
• Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
• Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

If the copy works fine, this could be a software issue. You will have to change the paper type and paper size settings on the application you are using to print.

Refer to this document to know how to change the print settings.

If the copy also has same issue, let us restore the printer settings to factory defaults.

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Printer maintenance > Restore > Restore factory defaults.

Now try to make a copy or print and check.
