My OfficeJet Pro 9015e all in one has the following message:
"Printer Cannot Print. A problem has occurred and you will be unable to print until the issue is resolved. Check your HP account for more information."
I tried everything suggested at least once but haven't been able to use my printer for two+ weeks. The warranty has expired.
Please help

Hi @Siobhan-23
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e. Here are some steps you can take to try to resolve the "Printer Cannot Print" error:
1. Check HP Account Status
- Log into your HP account to check for any notifications or issues related to your printer. Make sure your printer is still registered and that there are no alerts about your Instant Ink subscription or other account settings.
2. Restart the Printer and Computer
- Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 60 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.
- Restart your computer to refresh the connection.
3. Update Printer Drivers
- Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Go to the HP website, find the latest drivers for your printer model, and install them.
4. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. This tool can help identify and fix common printing issues automatically.
5. Check for Firmware Updates
- Sometimes, a firmware update can resolve issues:
- Go to the printer's control panel.
- Navigate to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Update the Printer (if available).
6. Reset the Printer Network Settings
- If your printer is connected to Wi-Fi, resetting the network settings may help:
- On the printer's control panel, go to Settings > Network > Restore Network Defaults. Then reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
7. Factory Reset the Printer
- If the issue persists, you might consider performing a factory reset:
- On the printer, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore Factory Defaults.
- Note that this will erase your settings, so you’ll need to set it up again afterward.
8. Check Error Messages
- Look for any specific error messages on the printer’s display or in the HP Smart app that might give more context about the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
