HP Tango

I have the HP Tango and recently haven’t been able to print anything due to cartridges stalling. In troubleshooting through the issue, I noticed one end of the encoder strip popped out of the bottom left side of the printer and I have no idea where it is supposed to go and I can’t find any diagrams online. Can anyone assist me with this?

Most often there is a hole in the strip and a small hook it attaches to. I have seen the holes break before. I used duct tape to replace the end and put a hole in the tape for the hook. Just be sure the tape is not in the path of the carriage.
