Hi Community,

I'm constantly getting the blue screen of death with error code B305DFF9. I unplug and restart, it works for 5 mins then get the error and blue screen again.

Based on previous posts it seems I need to do a factory reset but need some instructions to do this....have tried everything else.

Thanks for your support,

PhilipR2

@PhilipR2

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I understand you would like to perform a reset on the printer.

  • For now, on the printer control panel display, from the Home screen, swipe left to select Setup Touch Tools, touch  Restore Factory Defaults and then follow the onscreen instructions.

If this does not help, let us perform a semi-full reset

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
  • In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
