Hi @Tim-Seattle,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The error code with a picture of an ink cartridge and three dots typically indicates an issue related to the ink cartridges. Here are some general steps you can follow to try to resolve this issue:

Check Ink Levels: Start by checking the ink levels of your printer's cartridges. You can do this from the printer's control panel or through the printer software on your computer. Ensure that none of the cartridges is empty or near depletion.

Reinstall Ink Cartridges: Remove the ink cartridges and reinsert them to ensure they are properly seated. Make sure you are using cartridges compatible with your printer model. Refer to your printer's user manual to see how to correctly remove and install cartridges.

Inspect the Cartridges: Check the contacts on the cartridges and the inside of the printer to ensure there is no dirt or ink residue, which might disrupt communication with the printer. Clean them gently if needed.

Replace Faulty Cartridges: If an ink cartridge is empty, faulty, or expired, replace it with a new one. The ink cartridge should match the correct type and color for your printer model.

Printer Reset: Try resetting the printer to see if it clears the error. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on.

Check for Additional Errors: Sometimes multiple errors can stack. Ensure that no other alerts are active that could prevent the error from clearing.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.
