Printer Error: Screen Message: There is a problem with the printer or ink system.

HP Recommended
Photosmart 7520
macOS 10.15 Catalina

Repost for assistance as I must have a working printer.  Is the error resolved by buying/replacing the printhead?  Happy to buy a new printhead, but cannot determine if that error is indicative of needing a new printhead or if something else is causing this error.

I understand your concern. Yes, this error is related to the printhead of the printer and the printhead is removable in this model printer. However, we cannot guarantee that the issue will be resolved by replacing the printhead. You may replace it at your own discretion.

 

I suggest you upgrade the printer as the printhead would cost as much as a new printer.
