Whenever printing from the computer to the printer, it blue screens and flashes error B80B746C. I've restarted the printer several times, I can print directly from the printer but anytime I try to send a print the blue screen and error comes up. I am at a loss for what to do. Please help.

Hi @Jaymee2

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for explaining that so clearly. The B80B746C blue screen error on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e—especially when triggered by print jobs from a Windows 11 PC—is a known issue that points to a firmware-level fault or a corrupted network communication protocol between the printer and the computer. Since you can print directly from the printer, the hardware itself is functional, but something in the print pipeline is causing the crash.

Follow these troubleshooting steps:

Step 1: Update Printer Drivers

  1. Check for Driver Updates:
    • Visit the HP Support Website to locate the latest drivers for your OfficeJet Pro 9015e compatible with Windows 11.
    • Download and install the updated drivers to ensure compatibility with the operating system.

Step 2: Update Windows 11

  1. Ensure Your OS is Updated:
    • Click the Start menu, then go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
    • Click “Check for updates” and install any available updates.

Having the latest patches ensures that any known compatibility issues with hardware are resolved.

Step 3: Update Printer Firmware

  1. Check for Firmware Updates:
    • Firmware updates can resolve hardware errors.
    • Visit the HP website’s firmware update page for your printer model, and follow instructions to apply updates.

Step 4: Reinstall the Printer

  1. Remove and Reinstall the Printer:
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners, select your printer, and choose "Remove device."
    • Restart your computer, then reinstall the printer by adding it again in Printers & scanners.

Step 5:  Use HP’s Diagnose & Fix Tool

  • In the HP Smart app, click Printer Settings > Diagnose & Fix.
  • Let it run a scan—it will automatically fix common connection issues.
You can also access this tool on HP’s support page if needed.

Step 6: Check USB or Network Connection

  1. Verify Connection Stability:
    • Ensure that your printer connection (USB or network) is stable. Faulty cables or unstable wireless connections can lead to errors.

These steps should help resolve the error B80B746C and prevent the blue screen issue when printing from your OfficeJet Pro 9015e.
