Try these steps:
Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn Off the Printer:
- Press the power button to turn off the printer.
- Unplug:
- Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect:
- Plug the power cord back into the outlet and the printer.
- Turn On:
- Press the power button to turn the printer on.
Check Cartridges
- Open Cartridge Access Door:
- Open the front cover to access the ink cartridges.
- Remove and Inspect Cartridges:
- Remove the cartridges and inspect them for any damage or debris.
- Ensure that the protective tape has been removed from new cartridges.
- Reinstall Cartridges:
- Reinsert the cartridges securely into their slots.
- Close Cartridge Access Door:
- Ensure the cartridge access door is properly closed.
Remove Network Configuration
- Disconnect from Network:
- Temporarily disconnect your printer from the network.
- Reset Network Settings:
- Use the printer’s control panel to reset network settings to default. Refer to your printer’s user manual for specific instructions on resetting network settings.
Update Firmware
- Download Latest Firmware:
- Visit the HP Support Website to download the latest firmware updates for your HP OfficeJet 4650 printer.
- Install Firmware:
- Follow the instructions to install the updated firmware on your printer.
Perform a Factory Reset
- Access Factory Reset:
- Navigate to the printer's control panel menu and find the option to perform a factory reset or restore settings.
- Follow Instructions:
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the factory reset process.
