I have two alternative error code appearing: Printer Failure 0x61000048 and 0x6100004a. Started shortly after firmware update, but can't confirm they are related. The problem typically starts after start up with a printer jam message. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps associated with printer jams, in al three locations and find nothing The issue seems to be that the printhead carriage is not able to move left. It is free to move back and forth within an inch or so of the its docking position furthest to the right, but can't move left. It will occasionally move on its own to the the mid position for cartridge removal if I start the printer with the access lid up. I have removed and replaced all the cartridges, and see nothing blocking movement. It just cannot move left when it is initializating, and then fails with the code. Another possible clue: The printer no longer shuts down normally. It starts to shutdown, makes a 'clunk' sound which seems to come from the rear left side, and then quits. When I restart I get the 'improper shutdown message'. Is this print done after 18 months and only 485 copies made?
