Hi @SOCLaw,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To clear the memory on your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw, follow these steps.

Turn on the Printer: Ensure your printer is powered on and in the ready state.

Access the Menu:

  • On the printer's control panel, press the Setup button (it looks like a gear icon).

Navigate to Service Menu:

  • Use the arrow buttons to scroll to Service and press OK.

Restore Defaults:

  • Scroll to Restore Defaults and press OK.
  • Confirm the action if prompted. The printer will restore its settings to the factory defaults.

Power Cycle:

  • Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
  • Wait for about 10 seconds, then turn the printer back on.

This process will clear the printer's memory and reset it to factory settings. Note that this will also remove any customized settings, so you may need to reconfigure your printer after performing this action.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
