Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Have received a new LasjerJet M555 printer from supplier. After setting up we get nearly constant issues with printing errors, its the same when printing reports direct from the printer so it must be tray 2 issues or the measuring senors.

When get the error 41.03.F2 unexpected size in Tray 2.

Not know what the 'F' part means from the fault side and what could be the problem with this machine.

Does anyone have further information what is could be and what parts are defective?

Thanks

New unit out of the box?

How does it print from the manual tray the one on the right side?

Yes new unit, it has 6 month warranty, waiting for HP to call us back to talk diagnosis but wanted to check if there is something quick we can sort.

tray 1 is ok yes, also tray 1 has an option for 'Any Size' while tray 2 is fixed sizes only.

In used printers a worn out rubber paper pickup rollers can cause unexpected size message, since the printer is new that cause is unlikely.

You did set the correct paper size for tray 2 A4 ? Does the printer prints a single page ( even blank) then gets you a message or it will not print at all from tray 2?

Print the config page and confirm that the size paper installed matches the configuration page. If the size is not correct then you need to check the tray size sensors through the diagnostics menu. If the sensors test as good, the tray may be bad.
