HP ScanI would like to change the names displayed in HP scan when I open the utility. Both printers are the same model, but are located at different offices. Changing the printer name in Devices and Printers, nor changing the Bonjour ID resolve the issue. Is it possbile to change the names displayed?

Thanks for the reply.

If you want to rename the printer in the HP Scan utility I am afraid it is not possible.

The name in the Scan utility software is determined automatically after installing the software and unfortunately, there is no option to change the name.

Hope that answers your question.

Take care!

Cheers!

Welcome to the HP Forums!

It is a great way to engage, post questions and find resolutions by working with specialists in the HP community.

I understand that you are unable to download AMD graphics driver.

I’d love to help!

Go to “DEVICES AND PRINTERS”.  Right-click on your printer.  Select Rename, and name the printer as per your need.

You can also, add location and comments for the printer by going to printer properties.

Let me know how it goes!

Take care. Cheers!

That solution does not resolve the issue. I've already tried going into the printer properties in Devices and Printers and tried renaming as mentioned. That name does not reflect in HP Scan. Again, this is an issue with the HP SCAN program.

Thanks
