Every time I try to send a print job to my HP LaserJet Pro MFP M225dw from my Macbook Air recently upgraded to OS14.5 it immediately pauses. I've tried nearly all the fixes I've read across multiple apple and hp forums (uninstalling hp software, reinstalling hp software, turning equipment off, etc) and have called Apple support who after checking everything out said it's an HP issue that they'd need to help me with.
I can print from my old mac desktop using an older operating system as well as from my iphone. According to one article I found there could be hidden files from HP outdated drivers still on my macbook that need to be manually removed even after running HP's uninstall program, but I have no idea how to find them. Since HP has no customer support for my out of warranty but perfectly fine HP laser jet printer, I am at a major loss at what to do next.
Is there anyone who can help???

Hi! I feel your pain and may have found a work around. I have identical issue also with same HP LaserJet pro that is on my home network and have used successfully to wireless print for years. My husband still can use it from his old windows laptop so this must be an apple/macbook air update issue. After trying to install reinstall many times this so far worked just now! You will need to get the IP address from your printer. On the HP printer menu go to the HP reports option scroll to find Network Reports. That will show a TCP/IPv4 address. Then follow instructions here from apple on installing your printer by specifying IP address: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mh14004/14.0/mac/14.0
After trying so so many different instructions on HP and other apple forums this finally worked. I just hope that I don't have to add it each time I need to use the printer - but at least for today it seemed to work.
