I have an HP Envy photo 7155, getting stuck upon turning the power on. The HP logo appears with the loading bar below it, but gets frozen. The logo is animated for a few seconds then freezes.
I have tried unplugging the power (overnight) holding down the power button and checking to make sure there are no jams and the carriage moves freely.
How do I factory reset the printer please?

Hi @ARHAMEL,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Performing a factory reset on your HP Envy Photo 7155 printer may help resolve the issue. Here's a general guide on how to perform a factory reset on HP printers.
- Turn Off the Printer: Make sure the printer is turned off. If it's stuck in the frozen state, disconnect the power cable.
- Disconnect Cables: Disconnect any USB cables or Ethernet cables connected to the printer.
- Remove Cartridges: Open the ink cartridge access door and remove all ink cartridges from the printer.
- Turn On the Printer: Plug in the power cable and turn on the printer.
- Wait for Initialization: Allow the printer to go through its startup routine. It may take a minute or two.
- Perform a Semi-Full Reset (if applicable): Some HP printers have a semi-full reset option. To perform this, press and hold the # and 3 buttons simultaneously while plugging in the power cable. Continue holding the buttons until the screen turns off, and then release them.
- Perform a Full Reset (if applicable): If the semi-full reset doesn't work, you can try a full reset. To do this, press and hold the # and 6 buttons simultaneously while plugging in the power cable. Continue holding the buttons until the screen turns off, and then release them.
- Wait for Reset: Allow the printer to reset and restart. This process may take a few minutes.
- Reinstall Cartridges: After the reset is complete, reinstall the ink cartridges back into the printer.
- Test the Printer: Turn on the printer and see if the issue is resolved. Check if it boots up without getting stuck on the HP logo.
Please note that the key combinations for semi-full and full resets may vary depending on your printer model. Refer to your printer's user manual or HP's official support documentation for specific instructions related to your HP Envy Photo 7155 printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
