Using a Laserjet 150nw printer linked to my PC on Win 11. The 4 toner cartrdige lights are lighted and blinking. Error message given is the cartridges are not installed despite me having used the printer previously. Tried unplugging and plugging the power cord but not use. Pls let me know if the printer is faulty and cannot be salvaged. Thanks.

Hi @LKM_88,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating to encounter such issues with your Laserjet 150nw printer. Before concluding that the printer is faulty, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to potentially resolve the issue:
Check Cartridge Installation: Ensure that each toner cartridge is installed correctly. Remove each cartridge and reinstall it, making sure they click into place securely. This can often resolve detection issues.
Clean Contacts: Sometimes, the printer may fail to detect cartridges due to dirty or obstructed contacts. Remove the cartridges and use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the metal contacts both on the cartridges and inside the printer.
Reset the Printer: You mentioned unplugging the printer, but a more comprehensive reset might help. Turn off the printer, unplug it for about a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can help reset the printer's internal memory and sensors.
Update Printer Firmware: Outdated firmware can cause compatibility issues with cartridges. Check the HP website for any firmware updates for your printer model and install them.
Check for Error Messages or Codes: Sometimes, the printer's display panel or associated software on your PC might provide specific error codes or messages that can help diagnose the issue further.
Try Different Cartridges: If possible, test with a different set of cartridges. This can help determine if the issue is with the cartridges themselves or the printer.
Consult the Printer's Manual: The printer’s manual may have specific troubleshooting steps for cartridge detection issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
