Printer Update

I received an email to update my printer drivers for scan/print. But when I open up the email, its NOT for my printer. Why should I download an update for an HP910 when I have an HP DeskJet 8620?

Please check the authenticity of the e-mail as it may not be from HP.

For the HP Officejet Pro 8620 printer, the current firmware version is 1828A.

Please check if you have the most current update or if it needs to be updated.

You can check the printer's firmware version by printing a printer's status report.

Follow these steps to print the printer status report.

• From the printer control panel display, touch and slide your finger across the screen and then touch Setup.
• Touch Print Reports and then touch the Printer Status Report.
• Check the firmware version under the Product Information.
• If you do not have the latest update, follow the below steps to update the printer firmware.

Updating the firmware directly from the printer control panel

• From the printer control panel display, touch (HP ePrint), touch OK, touch Settings, and then touch Printer Update.
• Touch Check for Product Update and then follow the on-screen instructions

Follow the instructions from this link under 'Download firmware updates from the HP website' for Windows.
